General Methods of Repatriation of a Dead Body to Ghana

• Embalming by EU standard method
• Use of Hermetically sealed casket
• Use of all wood outer shipping container
• The visa may be granted for single or multiple entry.

Documents to be Submitted for Authentication (Fee: €100.00)

Note: All documents submitted must be in triplicate (Original and two photocopies)

• Certified copy of death certificate
• Locally issued burial and/or transit permit
• Embalmers’ (non-contagious) affidavit
• Non-contagious disease letter from local health authority
• Photocopy of passport
• Documents mailed should include a self-addressed, trackable and stamped return envelope

Cremated Remains

• Certified copy of the death certificate
• Cremation certificate
• Hermetically sealed container
